The off-grid solar system has been wired up and is producing electricity. Path Hill Outdoors was given ten solar panels from a school in Lewes which was being demolished. We were given a grant by Reading Community Energy Society to buy batteries, an inverter and a solar charger and now we have lihgts, heating and wildlife cameras working in our pod. Eventually we will put electrics in the new kitchen. Starting from this September out students and visitors will be able to learn a lot more about sustainable energy.
