PATH HILL OUTDOORS
A Not-for-Profit Social Enterprise
Outdoor Therapeutic Approach to Wellness & Learning
1 to 1 Alternative Provision Programme
Our team is skilled in working with young people who find the classroom environment a challenge. Experience shows us that being outdoors and close to nature is particularly beneficial to children on the Autistic Spectrum, those who are living with trauma, and those with Anxiety Disorders.
Schools
We offer a range of activities and adventures for schools. Join us in the woods for team-building and problem-solving challenges, or spend the day learning survival and bushcraft skills. Bring your history curriculum to life with our team of archaeologists and outdoor educators. We can also design bespoke days to suit your needs.
Parents Page
We work in partnership with families to support the development and wellbeing of children on our 1 to 1 programme. Communication is key and we are always happy to talk through your concerns and plan the way forward together. On this page you’ll find information about our provision and a list of useful resources.
Corporate Programmes
We create unique experiences for businesses to spend time together away from the office in the great outdoors. Our tranquil woodland setting is the ideal location for an away day focusing on staff wellbeing, collaboration, and strengthening relationships and connections. Get in touch to discuss ideas for your bespoke day.
Path Hill Adventures
We have courses and experiences to suit everyone at our sister company, Path Hill Adventures. Get to grips with the basics of bushcraft and try out some traditional skills, take time out to focus on your wellbeing with a Forest Bathing experience, or unwind on one of our woodland retreat days. “As a large comprehensive secondary school, we look very carefully at supportive alternative provision packages for a small group of our students who find aspects of mainstream school challenging. We have worked closely now with Path Hill for a number of years and can confidently say that the provision they offer for some of our most complex students is excellent. Their bespoke approach to provision is unparalleled, and there experience with students with a wide range of SEN needs is fantastic. Not only that they work closely with all other professionals attached to a family to enhance outcomes at all stages of education for the young people we refer to them.”
“By connecting with nature R was able to learn a more relaxed and simple way of living, enjoying quiet time and taking time to do things. All this contributing to reduce his stress and anxiety. Also meeting other children with similar issues, in a supportive, nurturing and not judgemental setting, has helped him to improve his self esteem and to reduce his feelings of social rejection…it has definitely had a significant impact and it has been a very positive and meaningful experience for him.”
