Social Prescribing

Green Social Prescribing

Green Social Prescribing is a Government initiative that forms part of the NHS long term plan to transform mental health services and personalised care. The scheme supports people to engage in nature-based activities to improve their mental and physical health. You can read more about Green Social Prescribing here:

As a member of the Reading Green Wellbeing Network we are committed to promoting wellbeing through nature connection and offer interventions and activities in our tranquil woodland setting.

We currently run a wellbeing group for people living with Long Covid on Wednesday mornings between 10 am and 12. Activities include gentle woodland walks, nature crafts, gardening, mindfulness and more. It is free to attend, but booking is essential, so please call or email to book a place.

We run one-off events and activities for charities and organisations, such as nature walks, Forest Bathing, and social sessions around the fire. We recently hosted a group from Caversham Churches Bereavement Support Group, which began with a guided woodland walk and ended with tea and biscuits around the fire and plenty of time to talk and socialise. Get in touch to arrange a wellbeing event for your organisation.
